📋 How to Build This Workflow

1

Add New Order Trigger

Click “+ Trigger” and select “New Order Created” from WooCommerce Events. This triggers whenever a customer creates an order but doesn’t complete payment.

Type: New Order Created
Order Status: Pending Payment
Order Total: Any amount
Customer Type: Any customer
2

Add First Delay

Add a “Delay” logic block to wait 1 hour before sending the first reminder. This gives customers time to complete their purchase naturally.

Type: Delay
Delay Type: For a set amount of time
Duration: 1 hour
3

Add Branch – Check Order Status

Add a “Branch” logic block to verify the order is still pending payment. If the customer already paid, the workflow stops here.

Type: Branch
Branch Name: Still Pending
Condition: {{trigger_1.order_status}} equals pending
4

Send First Reminder Email (THEN Path)

In the “THEN” branch, add “Send Email” action to remind the customer about their abandoned cart with a friendly message.

Action: Send Email
To: {{trigger_1.user_email}}
From Email: your-email@yoursite.com
From Name: Your Name from Your Store
Subject: You left something in your cart 🛒
Body: Hey {{trigger_1.display_name}}! 👋

We noticed you didn’t finish your order. Your cart is waiting for you:

{{trigger_1.order_products}}

Total: {{trigger_1.order_total}}

These items are popular and might sell out soon!

5

Add Second Delay

Add another “Delay” logic block to wait 24 hours before sending the discount offer. This gives the customer more time while building urgency.

Type: Delay
Delay Type: For a set amount of time
Duration: 1 day
6

Add Second Branch – Check Status Again

Add another “Branch” to verify the order is still pending before sending the discount. No point offering a discount if they already purchased!

Type: Branch
Branch Name: Still Pending Payment
Condition: {{trigger_1.order_status}} equals pending
7

Send Discount Offer Email (THEN Path)

In the “THEN” branch, send a second email with a special discount code to incentivize the purchase. This is your final push to recover the sale.

Action: Send Email
To: {{trigger_1.user_email}}
From Email: your-email@yoursite.com
From Name: Your Name from Your Store
Subject: Still interested? Here’s 20% off your order 🎁
Body: {{trigger_1.display_name}}, still thinking about it? 🤔

Your cart is still here, and honestly – we really think you’ll love these items.

So here’s a little nudge: 20% OFF just for you.

{{trigger_1.order_products}}

Total: {{trigger_1.order_total}}

💰 Use code: YOUR20 at checkout

This deal expires in 24 hours, so don’t wait too long!
