What is MySQL?
MySQL is a widely used open-source relational database management system designed for storing, querying, and managing structured data at scale. It powers millions of applications and services, from small websites to large enterprise platforms, thanks to its reliability, performance, and flexible SQL-based querying. MySQL is commonly used for transactional data, analytics, reporting, and custom business logic that lives outside of WordPress itself.

How AIWU integrates MySQL into WordPress workflows
AIWU adds a dedicated MySQL: Execute Query action inside the Workflow Builder, allowing workflows to run arbitrary SQL queries against a configured database. You can execute SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE statements as part of an automation step; when the query is a SELECT, AIWU returns the result set as JSON that can be used by subsequent steps. Combined with dynamic fields and the Loop Custom Array block, workflows can iterate over query results to synchronize external data with WordPress, bulk-update posts or WooCommerce products, trigger personalized emails, or send structured information to other integrations—all without writing custom PHP code.
