Your First 5 Minutes with AIWU: Install → Configure → See Results
In 5 minutes you’ll have AIWU configured and producing your first AI result — whether that’s a chatbot answering visitor questions or your first AI-written article. No technical knowledge needed.
Before You Start
You’ll need:
- AIWU plugin installed and activated in WordPress
- An API key from any AI provider (we’ll help you get one in Step 2)
- Time needed: ~5 minutes
Step 1: Open the AIWU Dashboard
Go to WordPress Admin → AI Copilot in your left sidebar.
What you should see: The AIWU main dashboard with a menu showing AI ChatBots, Content Generation, AI Training, Workflows, and Settings.
Step 2: Add Your API Key
Go to WordPress Admin → AI Copilot → Settings → API.
You’ll see fields for different AI providers. You need to fill in at least one. Choose your provider and paste your API key into the matching field. Click Save Changes.
What you should see: A green confirmation banner at the top of the page.

Step 3: Choose Your First Feature to Try
AIWU does several things. Pick the one that matches what you installed it for:

Verify It Works
The fastest test: go to WordPress Admin → AI Copilot → AI ChatBots, open any chatbot (or create one), and click Preview. Type “Hello” and press Enter. You should see an AI response within 3–5 seconds.
Common Issues
Problem: “No AI response — just a spinner or empty chat.”
Fix: Your API key may have a typo or extra space. Go to Settings → API, delete the key field content, and paste it again with Ctrl+V. See AI Not Responding guide for more.
Problem: “I get an ‘Invalid API Key’ error.”
