Quiz Builder: Create AI-Powered Quizzes with Personalized Results

Quizzes convert at 2–5× the rate of standard contact forms because visitors get something valuable in return — a personalized result, recommendation, or score. This guide builds an interactive AI-powered quiz that delivers custom results based on each visitor’s answers.

Quiz Types That Work Well

This guide builds a product finder quiz. The same pattern works for all types.

Step 1: Plan Your Questions

A good quiz uses 4–7 questions — enough to personalize the result, few enough to maintain completion. Each question should reveal something that changes the recommendation.

Example: Running shoe finder quiz

1. What’s your primary running goal? (Speed / Distance / Comfort / Trail)
2. How much do you run per week? (Under 10km / 10–30km / 30km+)
3. Do you have any foot issues? (Flat feet / High arch / Neutral / Not sure)
4. What’s most important to you? (Cushioning / Stability / Lightweight / Durability)
5. What’s your budget range? (Under $80 / $80–$150 / $150+)

Step 2: Build the Form in AIWU

Go to AI Copilot → Forms & Calculators → Create New Form. Name it: “Running Shoe Finder”.

Add each question as a Radio Button or Select field — multiple choice questions work best for quizzes (fast to complete, easy to process).

Set the form layout to One question per page (step-by-step mode) if available — this feels more quiz-like and tends to improve completion rates.

Step 3: Write the AI Result Prompt

Based on these quiz answers, recommend the best running shoe category and explain why.

Quiz answers:

Tone: friendly, confident, like a knowledgeable friend at a running shop. Not salesy.

Step 4: Design the Results Page

The results display after form submission. Configure in the form’s Results settings:

• Show AI output: On — displays the recommendation directly on the page
• Results heading: “Your Personalized Recommendation”
• Show share button: On — quiz results are highly shareable content
• Email results option: On — “Email me my results” captures leads naturally at peak interest

Step 5: Add Email Capture at the Result Stage

The optimal moment to ask for an email is after the visitor has completed the quiz and sees the value — not before. Configure:

• Show email field on results page, above the recommendation
• Label: “Enter your email to save and share your results”
• Make it optional — required email fields before results dramatically reduce conversion

Embed the Quiz

Copy the quiz shortcode from the form settings: [aiwu_form id="X"]. Paste it into any page or post. Best placement locations:

• A dedicated landing page (“Find Your Perfect Running Shoe”)
• The shop category page as a “Not sure which to choose?” widget
• A blog post about choosing running shoes
